Okay I'm not athiest and I really have no religious belief for that matter-I'm agnostic and the reason I am is because I (in my life) have seen way too many things that proves(just to me) that there may be some type of energy or supreme conciousness out there and we have no idea of how it works becuase were human and I guess some would call it GOD-but my question is is there anybody who thinks the same way ? That there is a higher power but not one that we understand and not a Christian,Jewish,Hindu,Muslim, or Catholic God..

there are tons of peopel who feel the way you do - often, they are not part of some organized religion for that reason. So it feels more lonely in your beliefs - but you're not alone.

So you feel there is a type of supreme energy or consciousness in the universe, but you don't want to think of it as a God? Why the aversion, and how would you tell the difference. A supreme consciousness that knows all would be a God.

Maybe if you looked at it the way I do. I believe in God, but I believe the God I believe in, is the same God the Hindus believe in, the Muslim's believe in, the God of all religions.

Look at their theology and you'll find them all similar. With a central all knowing entity in the center, with a good supporting cast, they all spread the same message, believe and you will live forever, don't and you won't. God would spread the word in a manner acceptable to the local populace.

Yes I believe in God, I believe that my belief, although not typical for most Christian religions (BTW Catholics are Christians), will enable me to continue after this life on earth is through.

You know Art you are not alone in this, actually Thomas the Apostle was agnostic in the sense that he could not bring himself to believe Jesus had risen from the dead and he demanded the proof of it.
Jesus challenged his unbelief by telling him to put his fingers into the wounds made by the nails on the cross, and Thomas was devastated by his weak faith and declared` My Lord and my God`, so the lesson of this is that we cannot play fast and loose with God,He is not our slave to perform for us in order to believe,He will not pull a Rabbit out of a hat for our amusement.
The secret is and has always been to humble our pride and accept the truth without seeing.

There is a higher power indeed. It is beyond what our brains can comprehend. Religions had made the mistake of too much humanize that God.
