there is a very pecific scientific/psychological reason...urr brain needs rest it needs pretty much rejuvinate itself so in simple terms in order make u FEEL sleepy the sleep hormone melatonin is released by the pituitary gland which is the gland responsible for controlling all hormonal activities. u kno why in the morning no matter how much sleep uve had us stil feel sleepy? because ur brainis still bathed in melatonin...
until he seratonin kicks in to activate u fully, u will feel the effects of melatonin....thats how it is during the day ur brain works on seratonin and when its time to shut down (a proscess intricately controlled by the "clocks" in ur bodyy that kno automatically when its day and night) the melatonin is secreted.
there hope that gives u ur psychological reason.
might i add this is perfectly intelligent and legitimate question---its not bc u follow bad habits....everyone feels sleepy for the same reason

There are a few reasons why you may be sleepy. Your diet can effect your mood. A deficit of any number of vitamins can cause you to be fatigued. Have you also given the thought that you may be depressed? Depression can take on the form of diarrhea, fatigue, sadness, etc.

The main reason is a hormone called melatonin which our brains produce to make us sleep. Darkness causes us to produce more melatonin. This is why in higher latitudes in winter months many people tend to sleep much more and have more fatigue. Strong light, particularly sunlight, stimulates our brains to produce serotonin. Serotonin is a brain chemical that regulates our sleep, mood, appetite and energy levels. In winter months the decreased sunlight resulting in decreased serotonin levels and the increased darkness resulting in increased melatonin levels causes some people to develop seasonal affective disorder.

when the earth power goes down after the sun sets the energy feild of the sun towards the earth goes down and there is all
along work since the energy is spent in the day so at the end of the day we feel tired and sleepy.

just becoz as machines works for the whole day n we need to give them rest,in the same way our body also get tired due to the works as per our schedules so we also need rest n we feel sleepy

It is a combination of many things.
If you feel light headed then it is less blood in your or to your brain.
This can happen when demand else where is great and there is shortage of supply, like after a large meal.............
