I don't know you, but I was just wondering, were you two fooling around sexually? Because if you were, you were living in sin, and God will not honor prayers when we are sinning.
1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
Today many young people think that if they don't go all the way, then anything else goes, not so. Some even say, "well in the eyes of the Lord, we are married, again not so.
The only prayers that God will answer come from true born again Christians. We must have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, or God doesn't answer.
If we have sin in our life, we must first ask for forgiveness, or God will not answer.
1 John 1:9 says, " If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Maybe you were living a Christian life while with your boyfriend, sometimes God has other plans for us. Just remember, God does love us, and knows what is best for us.
Also, sometimes the answer we get might not be what we want. God isn't always going to say yes to every prayer we say.
We are no longer our own, we have been bought with a price, the blood of Jesus Christ. Give 100% of your life over to God, and you will see marked differences in your life, and prayers.
I hope I have helped in some way.

I would say first maybe that relationship just was not meant to be. Second it is always good to be very specific when praying and to always ask in Jesus's name. Third read your bible more often to build up your "faith". Fourth I light candles in Jesus name when I pray and allow that candle burn for my prayer. Fifth sometimes no matter how hard and often you pray God works at His own time and in His own way. Many times I prayed for things that did not go the way I wanted and I had to figure out the reason why. I also prayed for things that God answered for me but it just took longer than I would have wanted. Praying for people to change or act a certain way really never pans out because we all have "free will" and the choice to do as we like even if the other person wants us to act in another way. It is just the reality of things. People suffer everyday and go through adversity and bad things but it is those times that we must remain steadfast and faithful to God. He loves all of us and does not want us to suffer but sometimes things just simply happen for a reason that we may not understand then we must pray for enlightenment. God bless you.

I wish I knew. why God hears some prayers and does something about it and with some he doesn't.I have seen miracles.real supernatural ones.I have suffered much more then most people. but I still have total undoubting faith in God and pray and ask Gods guidance all the time. and he will answer me in a very quiet voice. listen. you will hear the voice of God thru the Spirit, I heard him say go rub my fathers feet when he was in a coma while I was in prayer.and he opened his eyes, after I rubbed his feet..you must not only ask. but you have to listen for the answers.to be able to do Gods will.all that call on the name of the Lord will not be saved. only those that do my fathers will will make it to heaven said Jesus.I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Mormons pray on a daily basis to God the daddy, even with the undeniable fact that they many times handle Him as "Heavenly Father." They end their prayers interior the call of Jesus Christ. i'm unsure what you advise by employing "spirit & fact." Mormons pray with the certainty that God will answer their prayers. they are cautioned to "pray continually" and to seek for understanding and fact. they are additionally inspired to seek for education by employing the Spirit. Mormons by no potential pray to Moroni, or to the different prophet, saint, or chief. they only pray to God the daddy interior the call of Christ.

Jesus instructs us to pray to the Father and to ask for things, God the Father's intervention or provision, in His name. Jesus says that if we do this our heavenly Father will hear us and answer our prayer.
The biggest reason that some prayers are answered and others are not is this. Does Jesus know you by name? Have you accepted the path to God that He has made for all mankind to know Him? Have you accepted the free gift of grace and redemption as well as asking Jesus to move into your heart and become the Lord of your life? Many have accepted the free gift and forgotten the rest.
Another reason for unanswered prayer is that we are unable to move, sway or persuede God in any way. When we pray we are not presenting a wish list to our Father and asking Him to bless and honor our choices and decisions. We are really opening a line of communication from us to our Dad and from Him to us. It is just as important to be still before God and listen to what He has for you in the way of answers after presenting our issues at hand.
It is important to be specific when making your requests to your Father. Although He knows your needs, you are His child; just as we as parents, know our children. As parents, we want our children to describe in detail things they want or need so we can be sure to get exactly or close to what they really want, if we want them to have it. This makes them feel loved because you put in the effort to find and give them what they really wanted. This also keeps them from being disappointed or from not recognizing and accepting your gift or blessing as the answer to their request. Our Dad does the same with us. It is by being specific that we are able to recieve and recognize the answers to our requests from our Father, whether it is yes, no, not yet, guidance or instruction. Sometimes, when we have not recieved an answer of any kind, it is because we have not been specific enough. Most frequently we fail in not continuing to pray until the blessing or answer is obtained and in not expecting the blessing. When we are diligent, consistent and believing that we will recieve what we pray for, our prayers are always answered, in God's time not our time.
I hear your confusion and hurt as well as the "why me" in your question. Since I am not you I cannot answer right from wrong. I do know that Jesus has done it all for us and that life is not easy, however, God does work out ALL things for the good of those who love God. What this means is that you can trust God to help you in every life circumstance, even those you have so thoroughly messed up on your own. The result of trusting God and asking for His help besides the grace, mercy and provision while going through the situation is that when you are on the other side of the "circumstance" you are more of the man or woman that God designed and created you to be.

Because you prayed for the relationship to work and that was not in God's plan for you. Remember that old Garth Brooks song "Thank God for Unanswered Prayers"?
When you pray, stop telling God what you want and expect Him to just come up off with it - ask Him for discernment to figure out your problem according to His will, ask Him for a word to cling to during the trying problems of life, but for goodness sakes, don't expect Him to be the magic genie of problem-solving! lol
Also, did you listen? A lot of people spend all their prayer time talking and forget it's supposed to be a conversation with God, so He has things to say too.

First off, don't lose sight of why you started praying, to God be the glory. ITs not about us, its all about him. Secondly, have you ever heard the saying "To God be the glory, because you didn't just weather the storm...You danced in it." I know you might not want to hear this. But the pain we get is not meant to hurt us, but to strength us. Insteand of biting your lip as the knife of life makes slips on your arm. Rejoice with every cut, because it means the battle scars you will bare, will stand witness to the amazing love you had for your Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Praying always works, not always in ways we can see, or in our humanist even fully understand, but God says that he hears all prayers, and that they rise up to him like warm incents. God cares for your sistuation, keep praying, and keep trusting God, he will guide you through your adversity, and show you the rainbow at the end of your storm.
God bless, and merry Christmas

Peaches, hello? God isn't like Santa Claus. You don't ask for stuff and he keeps a tally list. Praying for "stuff"...from a computer to make my relationship better...is how a child prays. Prayer is a meditation, a connection to a higher power to give you the strength to do for yourself. So you can pray to God, Allah, Jesus, Mary, Buddha or Homer Simpson. And if you don't work along with your prayers they'll never get answered.
