CNN. News Propoganda bothers me. So first, I would search more into their proof. If it really was indisputable, and I mean ard core, to the point, no other way to explain it, I would than have to search my soul. I believe, in the end, I would keep the faith God was real, but it is POSSIBLE I would not. It would depend on the reliability of the proof, and what it was.

In the first place, that news would NEVER be allowed to leak out. The governments in league with religious leaders would kill it--and the messenger.God/religion is the best way ever to achieve control. Second, if it did leak out most people would not believe it, no matter WHAT. Many who did might commit suicide. I doubt that crime would get much worse than it is because those who break the law don't need an excuse. Aside from feeling a bit of sadness over the proven lack of a spirit in the sky ( which I already suspect) I would just keep on doing the best I can, like always.

I'd accept it and move on. After all, I'm a practical, logical person and base my beliefs on personal experience. If a personal experience can be explained with science, I would accept the scientific evidence. Of course in my religion, the perception of God is very non-Christian (i.e. God is not some guy in the clouds controlling everything) and God and Science work together hand in hand. I wouldn't feel cheated or that I wasted my life. I'd keep living the same as I always have and continually try to improve myself. I think that if the zealots couldn't take the news, we might witness scientists being murdered or something crazy like that.

Riots - not yet. But My Opinion says - Bad News.
If there WERE totally incontrovertible proof that God was not, there would eventually be great disorder and destruction. After the first shock, there would be brutal responses. Most people would come to the opinion that THEY ALONE are worth anything. "I'm the only one that matters, so..." They would push to destroy or dominate EVERYONE around them.
Of course, they wouldn't SAY so. This means there would be MORE distrust as people see others being betrayed, stabbed in the back with such jealous force as to stagger the imagination.
Meanwhile, some radical atheists would see this as the signal to openly attack / oppress / destroy those who are believers. Pogroms and anti-Christian/anti-Jewish/etc. attacks would occur with increased frequency...and some people that the radical atheists which were not "acceptable" in their non-faith would get swept up in the hysteria.
And me personally...? I would not give up my belief in God Almighty. So, I suppose I would be dead or waiting for death in a "holding camp" for what I believe.
Am I alarmist? Perhaps. But I HAVE seen how human nature works...and, generally, it doesn't.

If I found out that God didn't exist-I would be extremely depressed because He is what I live for and hope in. I would not feel like my life has been wasted because I know that I lived a good life anyways. I'm not sure if I would change the way I was living.
Good thing that's not true! Whew.

My faith comes from my heart and my personal experiences. It never came from "them" - the media or even religious leaders. Any information from the outside only helped me find what is true for me inside. Therefore, if they have the kind of information you are describing I think it would give me something to ponder but I don't think it would destroy my faith. (It's not like the media gets everything/anything right.) I think there's a big difference between personal knowledge (beliefs) and public knowledge (science). Not everything can be known in a public way, meaning proveable... some things can only be known in a personal way.

You know when I was a kid I ended up becoming the center of a big news story and man all the different media sources got what happened to me so wrong, not one of them was 100% correct...so I gotta admit, I'd first be stuck on really believing standard news sources for valid proof of anything.

The idea of God is far beyond of the argument of his existing or not. You don't have to wait for that if. Just see the news and see what people do try to convince to themselves that God does not exist.

Honestly, I would probably just go on and live my life as I normally do--now knowing for sure about the conundrum of whether or not there was a higher power.
