She just turned 2 in Nov. If I let her walk around without a pamper or pull-up around the house she will automatically go to her potty and pee if she needs too. But if I keep a pull-up on her she will pee in that, instead of pulling it down then going to the potty. So, she knows how to use it, she just doesn't when she is wearing a pull-up.

Don't use pull-ups anymore! YOU need to be prepared to clean up a few messes until she gets the idea that she is a big girl and she no longer needs diapers because she now uses the potty! She needs to be uncomfortable with being wet a couple of times for her to get it. The pull-up keeps her dry. Potty train both day and night at the same time. Put a barrier under the sheet to protect the mattress---she'll get it.

I made this same mistake too with my first son. Buying pull-ups was the worst. They still think the are diapers, just not as thick and bulky. I put regular underwear on them. Yeah, you're going to do a lot of laundry with them but not too long they get the hint that they are big boys and need to use the potty just like we do. It will take patience too.

Every kid is different, and will learn different life skills at their own rate.

I was potty-trained by three. My little brother is 5 years old and still wets his pants. Something I would suggest, is maybe getting her some "Big-kid underwear". Tell her, that she can't wet it, because that's not what big kids do. This should get her motivated.

Also, while me and my sisters were being potty-trained, we had a prize system. If we could keep our pants dry for a week, we'd get to pick out some candy from the candy store. If we kept it dry for two weeks, we'd go out to dinner. Three weeks, a trip to the toy store, and a month was a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's. It really motivated me and my sisters!

Try underwear my daughter is 2 1/2 and she will go in a diaper or pull up, but underwear are alot thinner so nothing is going to hold her pee and she knows she need to go. Thats probably the same idea with not wear anything in your case.

My daughter did the same thing and she is now 2 1/2. Just hang in there. When she peed in the pull up we just leaft it on a little longer than normal and she would complain, then we told her that over and over again that all she had to do was take them off and go on the toilet. A few months later she was doing it by herself.

it sound to me like she is ready to move onto big girl underwear.

pullups are a god send for night time potty trainning and very usefull for the early, and often messy first few weeks/months of potty trainning but towards the end you need to get them in normal underwear, thier to much like diapers/nappys.

She just isn't ready to do it properly yet. Every kid is different. My son, knows what he has to do, but will NOT go to the toilet and do it.

Give her time, she is still little, don't stress over it. It will happen.
