it doesn't have to be something that has to do with your dad. what reminds YOU of him? you don't have to get a tattoo that he would have gotten. i got a memorial tattoo for my birthday and it's a skull

so it really has nothing to do with the people who died but it reminds me that each day could be my last.

You could get a portrait of your father. Or a tattoo with his name, or a tattoo inspired by something special the two of you shared. Like a favorite vacation place, a special gift, use your imagination and dig deep into what reminds you of your father.
My lover died 3 years ago, and I have a memorial tattoo of a sacred heart with roses and skulls. In banners it says, love is stronger than death. With his name.

You can get a heart with a banner across that reads his name and years alive. I'm probably gonna get one for my older brother, but it's going to be of his astrological sign combined with my own and my other sibilings'. Mines more of a family tribute than memorial tat.

How about getting his name, or dad or daddy with a halo over the lettering and small wingson each sideof the lettering. Or maybe a heart with wings with DAD lettering on the heart? Here are a few links, maybe they will give you an idea....Have an artist drawsomething up for you....

How about your favorite portrait of your dad? That way he's always with you.

DO your research and find a really good artist.

You could do his name, or something he use to say... or something only you remember about him. Make it something that is for the two of you.
