About 3 weeks ago we noticed this cut on his side about 1 inch wide, it looks kinda like a abscess or something then it started to heal then about a week ago we found another one on the top of his leg and now theres another one. What is it?

You don't mention if he is your only pet or if he goes outside.
Hard to say without knowing the details of the cat's life.

If it looks infected of abscessed then your cat probably needs a vet visit and quickly. The cut could turn into something far worse. As far as the other cuts go it could be scratching until he makes himself bleed because of fleas, mange or an allergy. It could be possible that it's getting into somewhere or something that's too tight for him and he's getting cuts. You didn't mention if he is an outside or exclusively inside cat. If it's going outside your cat may be getting into fights with other cats and getting injured. It may have some sort of bacterial or parasitic infection also. My advice, take it to the vet.

If its a outside cat. Chances are that she is getting into fights, or if she jumps stuff she could get it stuck on somthing. It could be anything. It can't hurt her though. Cats are very tough. My old cat got shot, so we got her all fixed up and put her in my sisters room on the sec. level. Like the day after she got shot she fell out of my sisters window. Like 100 feet. The next morning she was meowing out side. You know the food brand 9 lives? Its true! So unless it gets really really big, don't worry about!

Does he go outside? If so, he is probably getting them out there. Most likely from fighting other cats or animals. If he doesn't go outside you may want to make sure he isn't getting into things he shouldn't be around the house, and that there's no children playing too rough with him.

If your cat is going outside he is getting into something that is sharp and cuts him as he is passing by. someone might also be cutting him. You need to be careful and not let the cat outside.

Sounds like he is either geting caught in something that is scratching him like a fence or is fighting with another animal.

hey you may want to check him for fleas...when my cat had fleas i would find scratches that she did to herself trying to itch them. does he have any under the neck and on the back side? does he go outside? if you find that he does have fleas give him a flea bath and you may have to bomb the house. good luck and happy holidays =)
