Only one other person got it...tastes are different. Your best bet would be to go to a good cigar shop and just ask questions. Some burn longer than others, some are also heartier, or more robust than others and may be too strong. If you're not willing to ask someone, then just pick up a few and try them, but most of the time, the guys in cigar shops are always willing to help out, and are usually afficiandos themselves.

Arturo Fuente makes some nice hand-rolled cigars, and they're reasonably priced ($5-10 USD)

Cuban cigars are really nice, but unfortunately illegal in the US.

Well you need to keep in mind that people's preferences are differrent. How often do you smoke cigars, what do you drink when you smoke cigars if any, do you like sweet tasting tobacco or more of a bland taste, or a strong smoke.
