This is a serious question. I have had 3 near death experiences. So I know there is a GOD. I am just curious if there are others that may not have believed in GOD before near death experience that have had their mind changed and life changed due to it?
Please no stupid answers. If you don't believe in near death experiences you will one day. But I am not here to try to convince you of it. I am just curious of how many people who had their life changed. I have always believed in GOD but more so since these experiences.

Would having CPR performed on you be near death or legally dead? I have had it one time. On another occassion the car accident I was personally sent back by GOD. The person I was riding with said that when they got out to get help I wasn't breathing. Would that be considered legally dead?

i have believed in God for quite some time now
but studying NDEs has strengthened those beliefs and are without a doubt some of the best evidence of life after death

If you ever get a chance, watch the Pen & Teller's Bullshit! episode on near death/out of body experiences. Having visions like you have had is actually part of the coping mechanism your brain uses during that amount of trauma. They have a g-force spinner that they put jet pilots in for training and ALL of them pass out. Its too many Gs for them and the blood drains right out of their heads. When they come to, they describe things like seeing what was happening from above, seeing dead family members, floating above the city, seeing whatever God they believe in, having flashbacks to their childhood etc. It is perfectly scientific, but it feels so real that we humans just can't think it was. Something that profound to us HAS to be spiritual. Remember, we used to think the world was flat, and there have been all kinds of ideas that we now realise are wrong, like your shadow is an extension of your soul and thigs like that. This is the same thing. Its just science, not God. Personally, I believe we made God up to so that we could feel like we aren't actually alone, life has some kind of meaning/purpose/destiny or whatever, and that we don't REALLY die. But we do. This is the ONE life we have and when I realised that I believed that, it actually made me appreciate life even more and I know that there WON'T be another one, so I will protect this life with everything I've got, and I will live it to the FULLEST.

I haven't exactly had near-death experiences, but there was a time I didn't conciously believe in a higher power. Part of that was depression.

I lost any sort of 'faith' when I was in a fire, I think, around the age of 9. I was in a house fire, my whole family came out okay, even my pets. But, things really went downhill. My mother became depressed, and my stepdad left. He started drinking more heavily... A lot of things fell apart.

In the last few years, I've started to believe there must be something out there again, but for more... scientific? ...reasons. We studied various philosophies my freshman year, and I became interested in religion and history. There HAS to be something. Just because there has to be an origin for those connecting themes in such far-spread religions.

I have experienced death from all angles. The loss of my son created a need in me to look deeper into what life is all about. As a child I almost died twice. When life gives us sudden changes we question life in general and each time we question it we usually find ourselves moving in directions we never would of expected. I do have a firm belief now in the Spirit, however I do not believe in any of the religions. But I must point out that each religions has some very interesting truth in them :-)

Not sure how a near-death experience would validate God. I've never had one, though.
Wouldn't near-death experiences in other cultures/religions result in those people experiencing it differently (i.e. a different god, or whatever cultural death descriptors there are) ?

I had what I precieved as a "near death" experienc.... and it was indeed real.... but it was not of God in any way... there is no such experience that is from God.... it is not for us to "experience" what is to come...except through Jesus The Christ.... what you, and I, and all who have had such Occurences have experienced are delusions inspired by the forces of evil. Inorder to dilute The Truth of The Word and Will of God in our lives.... my "experience" did change my life... but not to towards God.... it did keep me from persueing practices that could have caused me further harm.

I've gone a bit further than "near death." I've technically been dead once already! It was reaffirming for me to find out that death is a wonderful, painless void. Like you,I have no fear of my next encounter with death. Just for very different reasons.

Near death, no. But God did rescue me from a really depressing and suicidal life. I know He exists because I can feel His presence. But its hard to feel Him when people won't open up to Him. Sometimes it takes a near death experience to wake people up. Good question.

What the heck do you do for a living where you almost die three times? I'm not meaning to be a smart **** or anything after three NDE's I wouldn't leave the house. Unless they all happened there. In which case I'd move. I'd drive real slow in a bubble wrapped car....

near death is just that. near death. doesnt mean youve experienced death.

just an fyi, the brain is more powerful then u can imagine. take note that, in our dreams we see things that dont exist, on drugs we see things that dont exist, off drugs we can see things that dont exist (refer to skitso's and other psychological disorders), why would it be different in your "near death" experience to see a vision? our brains can even make us feel pain that isnt real...

seeing as near death is exactly that, you havent experienced actual death, or u wouldnt be here. therefore u still cannot say u know what happens.
