Trapped nerve is what a particular type of muscular spasm is called. Nerves don't get trapped. It can be extremely painful, but it usually goes away with rest. Your doctor can give you painkillers. An Osteopath can relieve the spasm.

Relax; massage or gently pat the area - get someone to help if you can't reach. If no-one's around, then try lying on the floor on your back, bring your knees into your chest and wrap your arms around them - so you are in a ball shape - then rock and roll around slowly on your back so that the floor is massaging it! Good luck!
