My son received his sentence for getting a DUI. He has to complete a four month alcohol class, pay a fine, and be on probation for three years. His lawyer will help him with a motion for the court to suspend the three year probation, once he completes his course and pay his fine.

He has to be completely done with the court system, meaning probation is complete and fines are paid before the Army would even look at him.

Yes. But the Army will come down harder on him if he gets another one while serving. Hopefully Basic Training will teach him some discipline and responsibility.

I know that the Marine corp might not take you. You would have to go talk to them first. But i do know that the Army might take. You need go talk to which ever branch your son was thinking about going in.

I've heard you can join the Army, but not the Air Force. Talk to a recruiter about it.
