When a guy says he would love you if he was single what does it mean?
i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one

He's letting you know that he is taken. If you hold such a high powered position I'm surprised that you are so needy to be attracted to someone who you know is not available. Fact is if you invite him out for a friendly drink you know dam well what may happen and as such will have to live with the consequences. Grow a spine, move on and find someone else that isn't playing these childish games.

I think this guy is a selfish person. You sound like you have a lot going for you and you shouldn't waste your time on a jerk. He is not fully committed to you. If he really was interested in you, he would break up with his girlfriend. However, he did not because he didn't want to risk losing her for you. There are a lot of guys that can be very infatuating, and you should find someone else.

Honestly, sounds like he could be trying to string you along while he dates other people. If that is the case, he is very selfish, and maybe you should be more vary of people that you are infatuated with because it could be just that. Only an infatuation, nothing more.

Maybe he wants his cake and to eat it too. Guys are notorious for saying things to get your attention and sounds like he has. If he meant it, he would become single and focus on doing something to repair the relationship you had.

He said that so the statement would haunt you and you would spend time trying to figure out what he meant. He also wants to sleep with you and have it be alright with you that he's otherwise attached.

Well me and my fiance started out this way..you just have to make the first move, let him no how you feel, ask to go to dinner, and hint towards what you want from him.

Do one of the two things

-Become close friends with him.
-Ask to be his babysitter (wink, wink) and see how he reacts.
