How long after a pregnant female dog starts drawing milk will she have her pups? She is a St. Bernard. (I know, we need to get her fixed, but it is too late now, so we are going to the vet tomorrow, and we are going to find out around how many pups we're going to have.)

Usually a female dog starts to develope milk at about four weeks of the pregnancy. Dogs are pregnant for about 9 weeks.

They are pregnant for 63 days. They can go 1 week before that or 1 week after that. When she starts leaking milk its usually 3 to 5 days after that! I own 3 St. Bernards and i have been breeding them for 5 years.

I am not as experienced with the Giant breeds as with the Toys.
I raise Chihuahua, in my case, and I believe it is the same regardless of the breed, I have had moms drop their milk up to 3 days prior to the litter.
I have also had them wait to within hours of labor before their milk would drop.
To be on the safe side, do not plan anything after your female has milk, and be sure you know who (vet) is on call the week you are expecting babies.
