funny! like why is it not considered blasphemous or arrogant in the spanish culture? can you imagine the kind of flack a person would get if they did do that in today's society? it would definately raise eyebrows.

There isn't a rule against it. I think it's a cultural thing that most non-Hispanic people don't name their child Jesus. The only person I can think of (non-Hispanic) with that name in recent history, was a singer from the 90's named Jesus Jones. I didn't pay much attention, so I don't know if his music was any good or not.

The name Jesus is holy. I don't think anyone should name there child Jesus. The name has power and should be respected as the name of Our Lord and Savior. He's too awesome and unique. When I call on Him, JESUS!, it's something GREAT!

You may name your child what ever you want. Understand that it will have to bare that name for the rest of it's life. Choose wisely.

No it is not ok to name a child that.There is only one jesus. If you choose a name
from the bible it is ok but not jesus.

no because they will get ridiculed. if it was socially acceptable, that would be one thing, but it's not to my knowledge unless your hispanic.

I don't see why not... people name their kids sarah and they aren't jewish and Mia and alexandra, but they aren't italian...
