when i first was prayed for by my cell group leader for the Holy Spirit to move in me, i was simply moved to tears instantly without even knowing why. that was when i was still skeptic about the Holy Spirit and the gifts. now i truly believe, for i've tried.

When i feel the Holy Spirit I usually feel hot, like the heater is turned way up. My body gets kinda heavy too. Sometimes I am overcome with joy and I can't stop laughing. I have had the experience of someone praying for me and I feel the Lord's presnece and I can't stand any longer. The Holy Spirit is awesome, no one can explain it or predict what it will do. When my husband feels the holy spirit his hands start shaking. It's different for everyone.

I've heard people say they feel a warmth, or a tingly feel. But for me...nothing. I'm not saying the Holy Ghost doesn't help me out, but I don't actually "feel" it. It's more of an assurance in my mind. When I'm studying for a lesson, I learn more when I have the Holy Spirit to guide me...and I can tell it. (I can't explain it very good) The other night I was driving home from a church function. They said a closing prayer and asked for those driving that they would arrive home in safety. A few seconds before a deer ran out in fron of my car I remembered that prayer and the word "DEER" came to my mind. I slowed down, and sure enough. A big buck ran right in front of my car, had I not slowed down, I would have hit it.

Hi Nilka, unfortunately there is no language with the proper words to describe how you feel when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, even the English language is too inadequate, the nearest that I can explain is that you feel a tremendous sense of being loved and important and also of inner peace.

For me, it was elation. My conscience was much stronger. Things started to make more sense. In some cases, I could speak out a thought and feel whether it was right or wrong.

The Holy spirit is an adviser. It speaks to the person in their own language. For me, that means emotions of guilt, righteousness, and pride. Some times, understanding.

I hope this helped. best wishes.

They say for some it's a warm powerful feeling that overwhelmes them. I have never had it like that. Whenever I feel touched by the Holy Spirit, I tend to tremble and cry. It's awesome.

The Spirit comes on people different ways. Here are a few: shaking, laughter, a feeling of drunkeness, heat, tingeling feeling, eletricity, pulsing in hands, weighty presence, and much much more. He comes differently to people. Sometimes you won't feel Him, that's when you know He just wants you to trust Him and not the feeling.

There are many levels of this experience... most do not experience what is commonly precieved as The Spirit" experience...the jumping around falling down whooping and hollering and such. for most it is a far more personal and spiritual experience... just God and the individural alone.... For me it was public and emmotional but at the same time private... I can not to this day describe clearly what happened to me... one moment I was a mocker of God.... the next moment God was within me.... I can only offer my testimony if you care to read. Check out Galations 5 about the fruits of the spirit.

For me, it's always a feeling of peace in the heart and clarity in the mind.
