Lower your caloric intake to 1500 or maybe 1000 then walk a couple miles at a brisk pace daily. In effect the calories you take in will be burned from the extra movement and your body will burn fat to make up the difference.

I think losing weight is not a problem for most people just that they can't keep the desired weight. In order to lose weight we must change the way we live a little. Make exercise a fun thing to do and not something you must. Walk your dog, clean the house or your favorite sport, be active and this would make you happier. Good moods also has a lot to do with our weights. Eat five small meals a day, try not to stuff yourself with food. Eat five or more small meals a day will create a good metabolism. And with this metabolism and your daily activeness and other exercise you will find that your life is more than just eat and exercise...it will be so much fun :) Wish you well :)

If you are a woman, don't lower your calorie intake by less than 1200, 1800 if you are a man. If you eat anything below that, your body will go into starvation mode and it will cling for dear life to your weight, your metabolism will also decrease.
(I found this the hard way).

Make sure you get ATLEAST 8 cups of water, and 8 hours of sleep.

Eating healthy is great, focus on whole wheat products, fruits, veggies and calcium.

But best of all, be inform, read books and research it because anyone can loose weight but there are few that maintain it, what you want is a healthy lifestyle.

One of the best ways to start (atleast for me) is by joining a group. It can be a sports team, weight watchers, or an online support group like sparkpeople.com

Best of luck with your weight loss and healthy lifestyle.

watch what you eat. Don't skip meals!!!! by the end of the day you'll end up eatting more cause you are hungry. eat fruits and veggies ( drink lots of water) and exercise. got to the gym ( it's around $30 a month) run or walk or invest in some fun workout dvd's.

For a more strenuous all over workout I use Jillian Michael's Dvds. It's hard but you'll pretty much work everything and you'll feel a lot better and see results in about two weeks.

Try pilates or one of my fav. Carmen Electra's #2 Fit to Strip. This one focuses on toning abs butt and thighs.
hope this helps!

You'll want to start out by doing a little walking or jogging. Start changing your diet, drink juice instead of pop. Drink milk, water or even lemonade. Anything but carbonated beverages. Eat more protein and stay away from too much sugar. Do minor weightlifting. Only do small amounts of weight, but do many reps. For example for your arms, curl a 5 or 10 pound weight about 20 times then 18 then 16. Lots of reps, little weight. Join a fitness club. I hope that gets you started. good luck!

Fruits & veggies.. and try to eat them raw or steamed. Avoid white bread, white rice & pasta, stick to whole grained bread & wild rice. Avoid red meat.. and try to eat plenty of fish. Water, water, water! If you don't like drinking just plain water (which I have a prob doing) stick some fresh lemons in it or buy Vitamin Water. Avoid caffeine and sugary drinks. A great way to exercise- yoga. You can take a class or buy a video. Cycling is also very helpful, or swimming. Do something fun.. or you'll never work out! :-) Hope this helps.

It sounds so simple, but it's true. Eat less, move more. I have lost 10 pounds doing nothing but eating less and parking farther away from my office building and walking a little. Good luck!
