Please cake-makers do not make cakes with pink frosting on them anymore.

You could be allergic to red dye... my husband is.

I've had the same problem with *anything* pink ever since I bought (at tax auction) a house without seeing that the ENTIRE interior was painted Pepto-Bismol pink. I ended up tearing out all the sheetrock, trim etc. to get rid of it since the stuff bled through every sealer, varnish, shellac and wallpaper (yes, even Viny!!) I covered it with. The nasty pink paint had been applied at least ten times as the coating of pink was about 3/16ths of an inch thick.
I NOW HATE PINK!!!!!!!

Most likely you have some type of reaction to red food dyes. Does that ever happen with anything else you eat that's red or pink? Because pink is just watered down red.
Some people are more sensitive to certain food dyes. Check to make sure. If it doesn't happen any other time, then it's probably not the pink part. You'll want to see what type of icing it was and if there's something else in it that doesn't agree with your system.

Because you are silly. Pink frosting is the same as red or blue frosting.

Perhaps for the same reason that Strawberry koolaid has that effect on me? I had TOO MUCH once when I was a kid, ended up throwing it all up, and can't stand the taste to this day.

Pink icing tastes the same as any other color. Maybe you have issues with the color pink. Are you insecure about your masculinity?
