Find a way to micro-focus on something when you feel that anxiety attack come on. If you are like me, this will help a lot. Clean the house and I mean the WHOLE house, detail your car or exercise.
You have about another 2 weeks to go and you will start feeling better. Congratulations and good luck!

Congratulations!! Do some crossword puzzles or video games. Talk on the phone, do whatever it takes. My dad was a drinker and smoker. He developed vascular disease and had both of his legs amputated. He passed away 4 years ago and at a way to early age. Now, my sister is an alcoholic and we are dealing with her. Its not fun for anyone. Think about your health and what it does to other people. I wish you luck. Stay strong!!!!

Ok, First of all way to go!
Secondly, find an AA meeting and sit through it. They helped me and I am a raging skeptic on such things. It really helps when you get others involved. People who know what you are going through by quitting and really want to help and support you!
Good luck!

gosh, that is my drink, i love it too.
I can see th reasons for trying to keep sober.
Keep active especially outdoors depending on the weather in your area. If you stay in, the only thing on your mind will be a drink.
Or go to the library, bookstores, etc

If you can, find an AA meeting in your local area, and get to a meeting. Ask the question there. You need to get a sponsor at AA. They'll keep you busy!

Replacing one habit with another might work. If you are an active person, take up a sport, it doesn't have to be strenuous, it could simply be walking. If you are not very active, read, read, read.

Just picture black/brown rotting teeth. That'd be enough reason to keep me sober.

think about liver disease, your whole body blowing up, developing varicose veins in your esophagus and them breaking so that you vomit and the other end black and red blood and fecal matter.
