Since Jews and Christians both agree everything up until the new testiment, why no hanukkah?

Why is it that no one knows? There has to be a good reason. Please give a bible verse to back up you anwser.

A lot of people are giving a "just because" anwser. There has to be a real anwser. Does anyone else care that no one knows?

The bible doesn't mention the miracle of the oil in the books of the Maccabees. (As far as I know, its been a while since I read them)

Some christians DO celebrate hanukkah. I am a beleiver in Jesus Christ. I celebrate it because it was a miracle and God was just proving to His people that He still exists and is still there. Why not celebrate it, you don't have to be Jewish and you don't have to but what's wrong with it.

because in the new testament we see how some rules have been abolished/amended, and so we dont follow it. really, u ought to read about Jesus coming down to save us.
See in short, we were expected to be good, which we couldnt, we fell short of God's glory, and so Jesus came to save us, because He loves us and wouldnt want us to suffer the wages of sin(eternal death).

because they aren't jewish, just as jews don't celebrate christmas.

i dunno... they don't celebrate a lot of jewish holy days that were established before the split... like passover (which by the way, Jesus kept himself...)
