Wells is a great company but make sure to read the fine print and always have them detail out all the fees and charges (this is required by law for most loans) and make sure you clearly understand all the terms. With a company like Wells you should be well taken care of but don't rush into something and always shop around for the best rate and terms...the subprime lending market is very competitive. While the previous post regarding disputing charges via the credit bureaus may be factually correct it isn't ethical for a loan officer to advise you to dispute legitimate negative trades on your report and any loan officer that would advise you to do so is probably not be truthful to you about the terms of your loan.

No one is doomed, but you might want to slow down for a while. Well Fargo is a financially conservative bank. They are less likely to take risks, which include giving loans to people with less the perfect credit and short credit histories.

I have a friend that runs a wells fargo home finance branch. Depending on the size of the loan it shouldn't be that big a deal, also depending on how bad your credit is. It just has to do with how bad they try to screw you

I am going through the same thing. I am trying to get a house and I am going through Wells Fargo my lender told me to dispute the items on my credit report and if there is no response in 30 days then the items will be removed from your credit automatically. 9 times out of 10 companies that you owe will not respond. Dispute online it is fast and easy and if no one responds your credit becomes clean. Make sure you get a credit report first so you will be able to dispute. go to equifax.com and click on the dispute link and follow directions. then go on experian.com and do the same then go on transunion.com and dispute as well. You'll be glad you did!!!!!!!!!
