I have a round face and I've been told two things consistently by every hair stylists:

1. frame the face (usually with layers that are longer than chin length)

2. add height to the crown (to elongate the face)

There are short haircuts that we can do well with, but most stylists suggest shoulder to long.

I too have a round face. There are several tips I can give you. People with round faces are lucky in the fact that they can wear longer hair. In fact, hair below chin-legnth is much more flattering for a round face. Blunt cut hair at chin legnth will only make the face look broader at the cheeks, which isn't what you want. Layers are also a good idea, but only if you have medium to thick hair. Layers in thin hair will only make the hair appear thinner and wispy. If your hair is thin then a blunt cut about two inches below the chin with the hair angled to a subtle point in the back will be the most flattering. If you want to do bangs, stick with angular side bangs as opposed to blunt cut bangs which will only shorten the face. Hair parted off-center or on the side helps to slim the face as well. Middle parts will make the face appear rounder. When it comes to up-dos, stay away from those that are slicked back, unless you plan on leaving a few pieces of hair down in the front to frame the face. Hope that helps!

I have a small round face as well. if you like medium hair definetly get layers ( for volume) so your hair doesn't look flat. Make sure you use volumizing shampoo that helps to keep it looking good. ( my fav. is Tigi Bed head) it's a little pricey but it smells good and keeps your hair healthy. If you want to go short make sure you get something kind of choppy and layered. A short cut that's all one length will make your face look wide. ( trust me I've done it) hope that helps

Hair should frame your face. You could have straight hair that angles just under your chin or have and edge cut (fringes) around the face to decrease the roundness. Never have hair aboue chin length if is around your face. Your face will just look rounder.

i'd say layers..they give your face definition as opposed to a one-length style accentuating the roundness of your face. just a thought though ; ) also i'd stay shoulder length or above in order to offset a distinctively round face.

I've read some of the answers and I agree with a shortish layered hair.

I prefer hair that will is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like females are more often then not directly, they like long hair because that looks more feminine, as most men have short hair.

I think if you have nice, sweet features, a pixie, Twiggy cut could be dazzling. If you have a big nose or weak chin or something, maybe a layered bob. Interview some hairstylists thouroughly and see what they say. Good luck
