Be yourself! Do not just throw yourself out there just so you can have a date for a dance.
If there is someone that you like, perhaps you can ask them to go with you. I will let you in on a little secret, most guys (the smart ones) really dig a beautiful young woman asking them to attend a function with them. Just beware, because not all peoples motives are true as they seem.
I know this might be tough to do, but have you thought about attending the dance by yourself? You never know you might find someone that you really like, and if your with a date, you could mislead two people by this move.
You sound like a fine young lady, so do not worry about such things as this, they always work themselves out.

You don't need a boyfriend to go to a dance, you deed a date. Don't be picky as long as he can dance you'll have fun. If your young, stay single for as long as possibe you'll have more fun.

It depends on whether you just need someone to keep your "social status" or if you are actually looking for a relationship. It's very easy to get a guy just to have him, but if you're looking for something serious you can NOT put a time limit on that! Real love takes time, sorry.

you don't need a boyfriend to go to a crappy dance. go by yourself and dance with the guys who don't have a date...and go from there.
