No. She's just very submissive it sounds like. Looking a cat directly in the eyes can be a sign of aggression or dominance.

It doesnt mean that you are hideously ugly. Animals especially cats moreso than dogs simply dont like to look humans in the eye. Because cats are so independant looking you in the eye basically lets you have control over them. If you get what i mean. Dont worry about it. You arnt hideously ugly. Its just your cat being independent.

Not likely. Your cat recognizes that looking into your eyes is a sign of dominance. She is showing submission to you by not looking directly into your eyes. She considers you as the dominant leader and to look in your eyes would be showing an aggressive or dominant nature. Animals more likely sense beauty in terms of how someone treats the animal or how they behave in terms of the overall group. You are not ugly to her. The contrary. You provide love, food, and shelter.

Cats aren't superficial like humans. They're very independent. She just doesn't want to look at you or like one of the others said maybe she was abused by a previous owner and is afraid of you. I don't think looking you in the eye is a sign of aggression, my cat likes to stare at me but he's just entertaining himself.

No they don't have a sense of beauty. Direct eye contact is a sign of aggression for cats. They will only stare you in the eye if they are mad or about to attack.

Hideously ugly. That's hilarious. I doubt if cats are as shallow as people. They just want food.

Your cat does not think like or respond like humans. Do not worry about it not looking you in the eye.

cats perceive eye contact as a threat, a challenge.
That's why, when people visit, the person that doesn't like cats usually gets rubbed against, because, since they don't pay attention or look at the cat, they're not perceived at a threat.

Maybe your cat doesnt like you. Maybe he is blind in one eyes? Maybe its just a very independent cat and doesn't need anything from you? You should check with a vet
