All good answers. My technique is this.....
boil egg in water that has a good bit of salt in it (this help with that under shell skin)
when still hot but just barely cool enough to handle.....tap & roll the egg about on the counter till the whole shell is craced in lots and lots of places & pieces.
Find the 'bubble' that bit of air left in the egg, USUALLY (not always) at the big end of the egg and start peeling from there.
hold under running water and it should just about slip off with little effort.
It HAS worked for me every time :)

It doesn't matter how long you boil than as far as peeling them go. The older eggs peel easier than the fresh ones. Peel them as cold water runs on them.

After I boil my eggs, I crack the shell while theit still hot, then i put them in a bowl of cold water and let them sit for 5 minutes. That way the cold water seeps into the layer of air between the shell and the egg. trust me it works, you can peel the shell off almost by the halves and the eggs stay in tact!

I put them In cold water after I boil them and that helps me peel hard boiled eggs

I usually boil them obviously, drain them. Tap each end of the egg hard enough to crack the shell. Refill saucepan with cold water and let them soak while cooling. The water must get between the shell and egg and loosen it. I don't really know but it seems to make the job easier.

After you boil them, leave them in the pan and run cold water over them. Let them sit in the water until cool, and then peel them under cold running water.

Crack on the side of the sink and then peel under running cold water. It also depends on the age of your egg. The older it is (or longer its been in the fridge) the easier it is to peel! Weird huh?

After draining them I give them a good shake in the pan while running cold water over them. I mean a good hearty shake! After they cool off a bit, the peels should practically slip right off

crack them all over, then roll the eggs in the shells until they are loose. Run under cold water, and the shells should easily come off. Also put a little salt in the water as it boils.

For future reference, use older eggs when making hard boiled eggs. Shells come off of older eggs easier than newer eggs.
