If you just got highlights, you should be able to go 2 months. Highlights are supposed to be intermingled so that you don't get roots. If you are seeing roots, perhaps your stylist used colors that are too light or dark compared to your natural color. If you used actual color all over your hair, you'll prob need to retouch roots every 6 wks.

I dye my hair a lot! and I would say that i start to see my roots after three weeks too. I guess what you should do is try and decide if you can stand your roots or not. IF you cant stand them just dye them every 3-4 weeks. It really depends on your personal preference. If the roots are coming in in the front they are coming in all over your hair grows at the same rate.

A little bit of root color helps with the depth, and actually looks pretty good. But the darker your base, it can be kinda icky if you're pushing 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch or so...
I usually hit it every 6 - 8 weeks and start off with a base (by base I mean my roots) plus highlights and lowlights. Next time it'll be a base and highlights. The next time depends on how my lows look...etc, etc.

It's obviously individual, but following the timeline your stylist/colorist suggests is a good rule of thumb.

Usually people come into the salon every four weeks to get a retouch. But you're hair may not grow out that fast. Retouch it when your roots are 1inch or smaller.

listen I sold hair products before and its every 4-6 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows plus there is always those root touch ups kits so you can still look great inbetween your coloring treatments! On choosing those kits it's all up to you but I would recomend using lor'el, because it has a color seal on it. Plus if you have greys it takes care of that 100%

I hope that this helps you!

relies upon what your organic coloration is. in case you have honest hair then decide for some foils which breaks up the regrowth line and you do no longer would desire to coloration your re-growth as often, different clever each six weeks is ultimate, or greater often in case you have darkish hair. ultimate to get the hairdresser to retouch your regrowth too.

Once every 4 -8 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows. Ask your stylist what he/she recommends.

I guess it depends on the natural color, and the dyed color. I dye mine about every 3-4 weeks because of the contrast (my hair is dark brown, and I dye it blonde - but it should be the same vice-versa).
