It is Esperanto. While William Shatner starred in Incubus and spoke the Esperanto dialog (poorly) I heard that he told an Esperanto group in a speech that he only memorized the script, he didn't learn it, and he doesn't know how to speak the language.

The word Esperanto is not very weird, especially if you speak another Latin based language. Esperanto comes from the root word esper which means "to hope" in many Romantic languages including Spanish. In Esperanto, the word esperanto means "one who hopes". The name comes from the pen name of Doctor Zamanhof (the creator of the language), "Doktoro Esperanto", under which he published his first book about Esperanto in 1887.

Esperanto appears in many places in the movie "Blade: Trinity", Kris Kristofferson speaks Esperanto at the news stand in the movie. Several signs in the movie are in English and Esperanto.

Esperanto

"In 1965 William Shatner starred in "Incubus," which is filmed entirely in Esperanto, a language created in 1887 as an easy-to-learn universal tongue."

The only constructed language that I know of is Esperanto. William Shatner played in a movie that was in Esperanto and speaks it.
Esperanto was developed in the late 1880.

so i don't know if it's what you looking for ..
good luck

Shatner does speak it, but if you ask any Esperantisto, his pronunciation in the film is awful.
Co-incidentally, in the movie Blade III, there is a scene where the guy is in bed watching a black and white movie where it is clear one of the people in it is Shatner. That movie is 'Incubus'.

Although not 'invented' in 2004 could it be Klingon?
