I have a German Shepherd named Dawson. I just liked the name.
A Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel named Buddy. He is soo friendly, and he is just everyones buddy.
I have a Golden Retrieve/Chow Chow named Hank. He was the biggest chubbiest from the litter, and it seemed to fit.
I also have a English Springer Spaniel/Lab named Chase. I thought Chase was a cute name.

i have several dogs i do rescue most are based on looks and personality
here are a few
1) white poodle dachshund mix named Englebert Humperdink because he likes to hump everything with in his reach his nick name is Humpy Bert
2) tiny white pekingese named Yeti,as he was just a tiny little snow ball when i got him and i kept telling him someday he would grow big and be the abomidable snow man,he is still tiny and weighs only 5lbs at 10 months old
3) Booty the pitbull as he has really big butt muscles,or Booty call as he is a stud dog
4) Onyx the pitbull as she is black and shiney
5) Cannon Ball the Caucasion Ovcharka as he is huge fat and weighs 186lbs and likes to just run into people and bowl them over when he is scared
6) Ruby the peke mix but we call her shark bait hoohaha after the finding Nemo movie she has a huge underbite and looks like the lantern fish thingy that tried to eat Nemo's dad Marlin in the movie
7) Tipper the Great Dane she is named so because she likes to lean so bad on a person's legs to be petted that she tips you over

We named our boxer/german shepherd Fiyero. We were trying to find a character that had a personality like our dog. Fiyero is the Prince in the Musical "Wicked", the true story of the wicked witch of the west. In the Musical Fiyero is a confident, adventurous, curious character and that's exactly how our dog is. We also thought about Nemo, from Finding Nemo.

Ivan (the Terrible) is my lhasa apso (or maybe tibetan terrier) mix.
We adopted Ivan from an elderly couple who couldn't keep up with him anymore. His name was originally Iwin, because the older couple had had a fight about whether to get a dog at all. The wife won, and she named the dog "I win."
We didn't like that, but we didn't want to confuse him. So we changed it to Ivan.
