>> believes that god is a created by-product of their brain

Depends - do they also acknowledge whether the god is an actual entity? If so - 'neurotheist', if no - atheist.

I mean, I acknowledge that when people conceive of god, they only experience it in their head - it's just a bunch of neurotransmitters flying by. God doesn't actually exist outside. Are you trying to imply that I'm not an atheist if I believe he 'exists' inside people's heads? I don't actually believe that - 'exists' is being used in two senses in the previous sentence. God is a cognitive schema. Not an entity unto itself.

Who believes that God is a "by-product of the brain"??? I believe that our mind and everything we are is a product of our brain and I am an atheist. And I believe that there is no God, but that it is just a human imagination, and so you can say the imagination of God is a product of our brain. I am confused by this word "neurotheist", I haven't heard that before.
