Was told it was a sin to think this way of this priest? Not that I would act on it...but just the thought.

I don't believe in the conventional definition of sin, but yeah, it's hot to think about. If you're really thinking about fulfilling the fantasy, think about the impact it could (and most likely) have on the priest. But for fanstasy's sake, I say rip off that white collar!

Only if you act upon it. Thoughts are not sins in any way shape or form. What woudl be considered a bad thought is Satans way of Tempting you to "ACT" upon this thought which would then be a sin but the thought itself is Satans temptation.

Sex outside the bonds of matrimony is a sin. Jesus teachs to take something into your heart is the same as acting on it. Jesus also taught that he fufilled the law but now the law is written on our hearts and we should go beyond the law. Now know that we are not under the law but we keep the law because we are not murderers and fornicators. I recommend Romans Chapter 6.

What you think in your heart, you have done. Lustful thoughts are the same as adultery.

Proverbs 23:7a
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he

Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
(can read the other direction too)

It doesn't just apply to priests, but to all of us. I will say too that I've heard that this is a very common thing, having sexual thoughts about religious leaders. I've wondered why that is. Maybe just to throw another strong temptation at the leaders as to undermind the church. A scheme of the devil no doubt.

The only one that can answer that question is yourself. If thinking this way leads you to do things that cause harm or discomfort to yourself or another than I say yes. But in reality only you can determine if you are sinning. Its all right there inside you.

I think knowing that it's forbidden is what does it for you. Fantasies are ok because they'll more than likely never happen. As long as you don't act on it, I don't see any harm. Most women have a rape fantasy but that doesn't mean they actually want to be raped if you see what I mean? Don't worry about it x

Tempting another into sin (breaking the vow of chastity) is itself a sin in Christianity (not to mention the sin of fornication you're contemplating).

It is a sin to "entertain" the thought of this activity with any person. Though it becomes somewhat ambiguous when dealing with your spouse, and moreso when involved...etc...

According to the teachings of Jesus it is a sin because if given enough time you would act out your thoughts. Actions begin with thoughts and thoughts of sin can manifest themselves if temptation presents itself. Remember, the devil always has his little birds flying around your head looking to convey to his master an opportunity for you to fall to his temptation.
