You can get a passport at your local post office. If you visit the website first you can print out the forms, etc... and have them completed before you go. http://www.usps.com/ you will also need a passport size photo (2) you can get those in a bunch of places.

Go to your local postoffice. You will need 2 photographs, which some postoffices can actually take. The passport application fee is $67. The execution fee is $30 for a total of $97. Take your photo id and birth certificate. Allow at least 6 weeks to process before you travel .

Here is the government web page that will give you further information.

You can go to the Passport Govt Agency website to look up locations near you to apply for a passport. Usually you can go to a post office to apply.

Assuming you are a U.S. citizen residing in the U.S., you can go to
- one of the regional passport agencies (by appointment only)
- your local courthouse
- certain post offices that accept passport applications
- a passport expediting company

Please do not get your photos done at Walmart! Photos have to meet certain specifications. And please do not submit a hospital record of birth or church certificate. You need a certified copy of your birth certificate issued by a state agency.

At the post office. You have to get your picture taken, and bring your birth cert, ID, etc. It's not cheap either.
