+It kinda depends on where they are stationed. I used to send comic books and a local newspaper so they would know what was going on around home. I used to send the favorite brand of Cigs, some Dunkin Donuts coffee, Favorite tooth paste and personal care items. Don't send alcohol as they will get into big trouble (at least the US people) It is getting winter there and if they don't have a PX where they are they may need something warmer for the cold nights. Some people send music CD's and Videos. You really need to ask them. (and they love letters from school kids and enough stationary and supplies to write back) I know some Brownie troops are sending letters and photos of their local activities and that always seems appropriate.

I always loved to get fruit snacks and pringles, snack food is the best because they don't have what Americans are use to over their, just don't sent chocolate or other things that will melt, and label the boxes as reading material if you send something expensive. dont send stamps because letters are free for soldiers to send home. if he is a sports fan send him a local paper with an acticle about his team or better yet tape a game on dvd if you can and send it to him.

I think the best thing to send is home made stuff like cookies or cakes. Something that they cant get over there or newspapers so that they can know what going on over here. I think post cards with pictures on them would be nice or writing letters even if you don't necessarily know the person to whom you are writing to.

Candy is an axcellent send. The soldiers hand it out to local children and make friends with their parents. Letters and pictures are ofte the most heart felt thing to recieve from family.

Well I would want the simple stupid things from back home. I mean stuff like home baked cookies (well sealed) and maybe some small games ( lke my buddy requested a fishing game). Also think about what you would want if you were away from home. Letters of Appreiation also help to bring up their spirits and such. Just be creative, dont be generic and they will LOVE it!

Homemade food is a plus, cookies etc. Cigarettes if he smokes. A recent newspaper just so he can feel a little bit of home. Lots of snack foods! Bulletproof vest would be a great gift!

just about something which will in good shape right into a shoebox, yet does not violate the USPS regulations (no lighter fluid, fireworks, etc) could be super. you may walk contained in the direction of the "dollar shop" and have a container incredibly speedy. enjoying cards, on the spot stuff like coffee, tea, soup, small bottles of Louisiana warm Sauce (incredibly improves MRE's), a million pound bags of M&M's, bathe shoes, "Mad Libs", Sudoku, Crossword puzzle books, pantyhose (mandatory for jury-rigging onto air filters on military automobiles) batteries (each type, somebody will opt for them).... do no longer think of too annoying on it. in the experience that your soldier does not opt for or opt for something, he probable knows somebody that does.
