The area of the Louisiana Purchase covers many States. You're questioning if all of that is worth fifteen million ? Even though that would be billion today, that still is one heck of a bargain. Answer- - - good.

The United States got a bargain -- all of that real estate (and resulting tax revenue!) for just pennies on the dollar for what it was worth!
