It's easier to make a square box than a round one. Cheeper too. Though it's a little wasteful.

Because Square boxes are easier to handle, also if you had a round box, you wouldnt have much room for the Greek Peppers and the garlic sauce!!

Easy to stack in a freezer case. And the cost of making a round box is far more expensive than a square one.

Simple economics - ease of manufacturer and storeage of the box material. Also inherently less scrap and fitting to produce a box with square sides than a curved object from flat material.

It is far easier to make a square box than a round one.
Fewer cuts, less folding, less waste, and mechanical means of handling, manipulating, and printing lend themselves to linear measurements.

Can't say I've ever ask myself that, but it's a really good question.
Maybe because it's easier to hang onto and carry a square box rather than a circular one?
