They put cats and dogs to sleep when they have suffered enough. It's only fair we should allow the same for ourselves without the guilt or worry of making it to heaven. If my best friend asked me to help them I would. We must treat ourselves with the same compassion if not more as we treat our pets.

Beyond the shadow of a doubt, YES. I would never want a loved one to suffer through a terminal illness. We allow our sick pets to be put to sleep when they are terminal, and they do not have a choice in the matter. If a terminally ill person chooses to not want to suffer through that kind of pain, who am I to say no? I would hope they'd extend me the same courtesy as well by helping me end my suffering in that situation. It's a shame people like Dr. Kevorkian spend years and years in prison for HELPING people who are of sound mind from suffering endlessly.

Probably, but you could never really know unless you were in that situation. My grandmother lived with us & begged us to kill her. I was just a kid at the time, so I really didn't understand.

NO, Tho shalt not kill! I would get them stronger pain medicine. My mother had cancer in every major organ and only lived 4 months after finding out yet most of her days were very little pain because she had pain meds.

Yes, if that is truly what they wanted, then I would help to ease their pain for them... Nobody but nobody, has the right to deny others the right to end their suffering.

No, they would have to kill themselves or I would help them move to Oregon where assisted suicide is legal. I don't think there is anything "noble" about suffering.
