certainly, especially if you were deeply in love with him.
i'm 40 years beyond a breakup with an old girlfriend. i still hold loving feelings toward her and always remember her on my birthday, her birthday, May 10 (the day of our first date), and at Christmas.
a loving relationship can never be out of sight, out of mind. no matter how hard we try to move beyond the breakup, thoughts of what if and i miss still linger in the quiet of our mind.

It takes time to get over things but don't linger on those feelings. you broke up for a reason and you need to accept that. You might get jealous because he found someone new but that is normal- just get over it. If you aren't into you present relationship then break it off. Be single for a while and get used to you. Being single is fun, you don't have to spend money on NO ONE else except yourself and you are totally free to go and do whatever you please! If you really want to have a thrill- get yourself a makeover and if you happen to run into your ex (don't go looking for him though) let him see how fabulous you are and how much you are NOT missing him. That'll help ease your pain.

no, you are holding yourself back in life. realize that the relationship is "DEAD". it's not what you want it to be it'll probably never be. it will take time to get over it, but you deserve the best. if you aren't happy in your current relationship then maybe you should take a break from it or talk to them about how you are feeling or do more activities with your current love. actually don't talk to them about hte other person that would probably upset them.

It's not uncommon to have feelings for him. It just takes time to get over someone. Remember it didn't work between you two so just be happy for him, and someone special will come your way eventually.

why would it be okay? if he has a gf and you have a bf and you two broke up a year ago maybe you should let go and let someone else be happy with him.

its ok to have feelings for him; but i wouldn't purposely go in and step on the new girls toes... you guys broke up for a reason remember... so it's best to just leave a piece of your heart for him and hope hes happy.
