First ask yourself why this is a hard thing go tell them. This is supposed to be one of the happiest times in your life. After you consider that think of the fact that you know your parents. If you need to tell your one parent first then go to the other with it it might work. Or go with your fiance' to tell them. Afterall you two are a team.

It's not that hard, just be happy for yourself and give them the good news, I was 16 when I got engaged, I got married on my 17th birthday! I am so happy, and my parents are too

If you are afraid to tell your parents you are engaged, may be a sign that you are not mature enough to be married.

are you underaged? if not then just say, "i'm engaged". if this guy is trouble then you should expect a bad reaction from your parents. it might be best to do this at a dinner or something like that to make it special. as long as this is a good guy :)

I'm lucky, my man asked my parents permission, so I didn't have to tell them. But it was akward when we told his parents. We just walked up and showed them the ring. His mom jumped out of her chair and hugged me and his dad got up and shook his hand.

engagment is sometimes not that important. how are you going to explain the wedding. with engagement they can try to stop it. but with a wedding, there is no turning back
