I feel some tough small "balls" in my breasts, and I've started to feel pain in breasts. I'm only 17. could it be cancer?

be calm first
and do some tests before go to doctor
like : CBC , CEA and CA 15.3
if CEA and CA 15.3 tests are normal , It is not cancer
and after that go to doctor to investigate this nodes.

First thing you should know is, if the lumps are painful it probably is NOT cancer. It probably is not cancer if 1) you feel the lumps more around your monthly cycle 2) if they get smaller or diminish in size if you lay off of caffeine 3) the other women in your family have a history of fibroid cysts in the breast. Of course the only way to be completely sure is to have a mammogram and visit your gynecologist. But don't panic a lump in the breast does not always mean cancer.

when in doubt get it checked out. There are natural lumps in the breast called lymph nodes. these are usually painful a week before your period. But if they are small and round it could be something else. Please see a doctor to be certain. Cancer knows no age limits, you cant be too young to get it.

No. Sounds to me like you have cysts in your breasts. I would suggest that you get your mom to take you to the doctor and have them checked to make sure. Cysts in the breasts are very common and are NOT cancerous.

One thing I have learned is no matter how old you are you are never too young for cancer. You have to take family history in count and other factors. Do you drink sodas? Sometimes these things could be caffeine induced. You should still have it checked out because it is better to be too cautious then not cautious enough.

Chances are what you're feeling is tissue in your breast......I've felt the same sort of lump before and that what my doctor told me what it was.....He also told me that if it's that time of month sometimes your breast will get really sore and tender.....And cause them to get swollen.....If it would make you feel better I would go get them looked at.....I hope everything is fine.....

Sounds like fibrocystic cysts which are not cancerous. Most women have them, but to be safe see a doc.

it could be that they are growing or cancer but you should go see a doctor
