Church isn't a free card. People try to make it that way.

That's no different than a woman who says "My man ain't cheating because he's been with me all night."

No one is above sin regardless of the title you carry or the way you "claim" to live your life. Just because you see a person in the day as good that doesn't make 'em an angel at night.

Some fellow church members and clergy may THINK "he would never do that" and "he's a good christian man", but it is not a "get out of jail free card". To say that church membership comes with an instant alibi is saying that church members would lie for you, which is not true in most cases.

I would say no. In my experience a lot of people go to church for the wrong reasons, instead of fellowship, they go for status or to ease their guilty minds. The BBK killer in Kansas was a church elder. A youth minister in a local church was caught molesting his daughter. Plus a businessman I knew claimed to be an avid christian though he was caught steeling from his partners and was addicted to strip clubs. It's sad that these kinds of people are on the rise and are tarnishing the view of Christians as a whole. I think Christians should be punished more harshly cause they claim to be something they are not when commit such atrocities.

Never is a membership to a church a get out of jail free card, not on a moral issue any way the judge in those cases always knows the truth. HE weighs and judges our hearts, that we can never hide.

No it is not . One must walk the walk . Everyone is accountable .
You can attend church everyday of your life and it won't mean a thing if you don't walk the walk . Many times many different types , not just "good Christian men" live a facade and fool those closest to them - while they are out doing the unthinkable . They pay the price sooner or later .

No. Jesus said himself, "why do you call me good? There is none good but the Father. "
So you see there is no such thing as a "good" man. There can be a man who is striving to be good but none of us have obtained that goal as of yet. And if a person is doing something wrong then they should be held accountable for it, regardless of their faith or position in the church or government. No one should have any special priviledges, at least not in relation to God.

Your question indicates you do not really understand Christianity. Jesus holds us up to a higher standard, we are not to sin. Yes, we do fail, and He does forgive us our failings; however, when you become a Christian, God changes you. The longer you walk with Him, the less luster the world and sin have for you.
