None of the principle world religions should ever worship the founding Masters like The Buddha, The Christ, Mohamed, etc. All of these amazing leaders were truly representative of the highest aspirations of Humanity, and were beyond words in their understanding of The God Kingdom. Where we, as a species, have gone slightly astray in our study of the lives and teachings of these amazing people is that we give way too much importance to the body, and overlook the most important part of the lives of these historical figures; They all taught to Not worship the body and to try to understand their teachings as the Main Event of what their lives represented. Without a doubt, these people would ask for us to give far less importance to their physical forms and to just try to remember what they taught. The teachings of these amazing teachers are the Only things we should worship. Without fail, we were told this time and time again by these same amazing Folks.

well, maybe not worship Buddha. I think He was a philosopher and Buddhism started as a Philosophy. They teach good morals and practical beliefs.
I am a Christian and we have Buddhas at home, but we don't worship him.
I think there's not a great difference in each religion. Each just have certain traditions but it all comes down to the difference of good and evil. If you can find the difference between the two then i guess, nobody will have any problem.

Worship Buddha? Are you high or just ignorant?
Buddhists DO NOT worship Buddha! They don't worship anyone!
All the word Buddha means is the enlightened one. Anyone has the ability to be a Buddha. When the Buddha was asked are you a God, an angel, or what his answer was I AM AWAKE!
Buddhism is about being awake to the present moment not focused on memories of what was or delusion of what might be!

The Buddha is not worshipped. In fact, should you meet The Buddha on the road, you are to kill him. The Buddha is found within.

The Buddha is not worshiped. He is given honor. If Buddha can become enlightened then so can each person on Earth.

The Buddha is not to be worshipped. Follow his moral precepts and you can still practice whatever religion you choose until you become a bit more enlightened and less spiritually retarded.

Why not just don't "worship" anyone and live in reality on the beautiful but treacherous planet? Is it too scary to do with out some parental figure in the sky to protect us?
No offense meant to anyone, just asking a question.
I do not claim to know the answers, I just think I do sometimes, then I come back to reality and start asking again.

Buddha didn't want to be worshipped; he simply wanted to pass on the wisdom he had found.
