Since God makes it rain on the wicked and the righteous, and rain serves as a witness to the love and existance of God.
Then I guess all water is holy, because everything that issues from God is holy.
Does a 'priest' saying a few words over a cup of water make it holy.
No.

First of all, what are you considering a CHristian church? I know this may be hard to accept being that you've grown up in a CAtholic church all your life but please just listen. No church has holy water. Water is just water, it can't be holy if it comes out of a faucet or from a river and plus, we live in a corrupt world, nothing in this world can be perfect.
If you need any further assistance please don't hesitate to e-mail me. I hope i was able to answer or atleast help.

I would be proud to be a Catholic when I read all the answers.
Holy Water is identifiable with the Catholic church. It is such an identity that we are part of the Roman Catholic Church which is rich is tradition, faith and culture.
Every act, every thing that we do in the church is an act of worship wholly directed to God.
The holy water as we see it is all directed to the greatness and holiness of our God that by His grace and mercy that we are cleanse and blessed by Him as we prepare ourselves for Mass, for a meal together with our God where God and man at table are sat down.
And it is not just any meal but a very special meal where the food that we receive is Christ in the Eucharist just like on the day He called his twelve disciples and broke the bread and shared out with them.
For it reminds us of our limitations as human and the certainty that one day we will die and meet our creator.
It made a point that in life, we are living in an imperfect world full of injustice, corruption and sadness. That although in the midst of all these pain, there is still a God who cares. There is still a God who loves.
And in response to His love, we love back. We love God back and we love our neighbours as how God loves us with his life.
For this reasons and many more, I am proud to be a Catholic and I wish to extend my pride to you. For in the Lord we are proud of, and without him we are nothing.

No. Most Christian churches do not have holy water. That is typically a Catholic thing. Catholics are Christian but they have a different bible, different objects or religious artifacts, rituals, etc.

Catholic's have holy water. Penicostal churches usually do not. Although some have been prone to. The 18 I have attended never did.
