Just from my own experience, you start by pretending your ok, you stay active, cry if you have to and wait for the only cure for a broken heart, time. The worst thing to do is to let the pain get the better of you, as much as you or I would hate to admit, you'll fall in love again, it could be in a week or it could take years but eventually enough time will pass and it won't hurt so bad. I am just now realizing that I am not pretending so much anymore and I laugh out loud again, but it was a rough year. I am so sorry you or anyone else has to go through this, someday maybe the wonderful doctors of our world will come up with a cure for the broken hearts, until then we are on our own.

Broken hearts always require time to mend. However, you most likely will be able to find Mr. Right Now to help ease this pain, and make time go by faster. Go get your re-bound man, and have some fun. Enjoy your new found 'freedom', even tho it may seem a bit lonely in the begining. Personally, im still struggling from a breakup of an 8year relationship that ended last year.

You did the right thing and you should be proud of yourself.

Time and keeping busy is the only thing to help a broken heart.

If you find it's going on too long try some counseling to get on the right track.

Don't go right out and get a new person because you're not ready yet.

nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart
can bare. for me healing my heart is achieved by spreading love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house....let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. be a living expression of kindnesss; kindnes in your face, eyes, greetings. if you do this, even when you don't feel like it, it will trickle back down to you. all these people will surround you with happiness and help you heal. also, you will be putting your time and energy into this, so you wont just be thinking of him.
