When meeting a guy for a coffee date, I prefer to arrive 5 minutes late?

even though I am already in the area, I walk around to pass the 5 minutes. I prefer the guy to already be there when I arrive as I feel funny sitting there waiting and looking around, just looks more natural to me to walk to the place and look around till I spot him. Does it bother you if your date shows up 5 minutes late?

let me add that I am an early person in everything, work, dates, and all but since I always meet them at a regular coffee house that I am known at , I feel self concious sitting there waiting for my date. They are the ones that are usually late, 15 or 20 minutes or even 30 minutes. It is easier for me to walk around and spot them than to take a table and have them walking around the whole place looking for me.

5 minutes is ok. just enough to make us anxious but not depress us.

If it were me, you wouldn't see me there waiting. I don't tollerate tardiness. If your going to be there, Be there on time, otherwise, find somone else to be your welcome mat.
On the other hand, maybe I WOULD stay, just so that wen you finaly show up, I can tell you to your face how crappy you treat people.

I see your point and your reasoning but I think from the guy's point of view that might give a bad impression...i guess it depends on the guy..

why do u do that?i prefer to be punctual...it doesnt matter who waits for whom....but if my date arrives 5 mins late, it wont bother me at all...just do whatever u r comfortable with.. :)
