One doesn't. It is up to the individual to trust in his faith and study the teachings we are given. We must also be vigilant in watching for false teachings - the Bible teaches us to observe not just the teachings of a person but of the fruits of their labor, that we can tell those who are good by the works they do and likewise, the bad by the bad they do. We have a responsibility to learn and know the teachings so we don't get swayed. Thank you for the question. Many of us struggle with it.

Jesus says" I am the only way, truth and life, no one can come to the Father but through Me" John 14:6

Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

1 Timothy 6:3-4
3If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound[a] words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions,

All is One. God grants salvation--not a priest, minister, rabbi, imam, elder, preacher, and so on--no religion. Too many people assume they have a direct line to God's office, and in their opinion God cannot show mercy to whom God pleases--isn't ludicrous assumption? Perhaps each religion has a separate spot in Heaven, but I am sure the peaceful visits between residents of different sections are allowed for those who practise the golden rule--Love thy neighbour as thyself.

Oooo, how about this? there is more than one way to get to the summit of the mountain. Or, without metaphore: any religion's teachings of Love, Peace and Respect will save you from evil. There is no religion that is the one and only path to salvation, dogma just makes the journey to salvation longer.

Well, what other religion besides Christianity offers salvation? Who, other than Jesus, takes away sin? What other religion offers security? What religion is a religion of peace?

Once you read of all the miracles that were performed throughout the history of the world, you will understand that following God and Jesus is the true way to go. God sent his only Son to us to die for our sins, so I am betting on that I should follow the way of Jesus. God and Jesus, who are one in the same, have performed miracles so numerous no human could ever keep record. God promised all the prophets many, many things over the ages, and has ALWAYS come through. So how am I not to believe that He won't follow through on His promise of eternal life. This is a simple decision for me.

You have to look inside of you and see what is right, Im christian so i don't know how else to tell you but to pray about it.

Heres an interesting fact, scientist have found that people who pray find answers quicker and figure there problems out quicker than others. Here is why they think that: people usually concentrate and close their eyes to pray making it easier to think and come up with conclusions.

so, christian or not, try praying

No other religions offer salvation from sins. They all "allow" you to go to Heaven fully in your sins, which would make Heaven, well, not Heaven.

you don't.

that's basically it, straight up...

you really can't tell for sure.

some people think christianity is the only way,

some people think another religion is the only way...

and you'll go to hell if you don't follow it...

i think that suckks.

here's my outlook on the whole religion thing:

if, like christianity teaches, there is only ONE true religion, then those who follow it will get what they're looking for, and others will go to hell.

if there is no TRUE religion, but still spirits/souls within people, each individual person will go where they believe.

if there's nothing, there's nothing.

just my thoughts on it...
