Somebody told me that your stomach can fill up on it's own without having to eat or drink anything to fill it up, causing you to eat more or less each meal, is this true?

I didn't think it was true myself, I argued with the person and they kept saying it's true, so now I can correct them

Say what? Who ever told you that must have anorexia. Your stomach cannot fill up on it's own. Come on....think about that. What would fill it up? And what would it be filled with?

Good grief.

Have you ever sat down at a Holiday meal and ate too much?
Your stomach filled up that you could not eat one bite. That in itself should tell you your stomach does fill up.

I've never heard about anything like that. I would however be alarmed at knowing just what the stomach would fill up with if it's not food or drink. *shudder*
