I'm a planner...been doing it for 18 years. I imagine I'll retire doing this since I love my job.

I've been at my current job for 6 months, I'm an administrative coordinator for a commercial cleaning company. It's a fancy title for a not so fancy job, basically I set up new accounts when our sales people close the deals. It's a lovely way to use my early childhood education degree that I spent 5 years getting and then realized I didn't enjoy working with kids as much as I thought I would! I only planning on being here for another year or so, I'm starting Cosmetology school in February and it's an 11 month program. Hopefully I'll like that better! :)

My Human Communications professor just commented on this very issue! She said the average stay at a job is six years. I have found this to be quite true in my own life. I finally went back to school after 30 yrs. I was tired of every job being the same thing! More work, and less pay! I think the key is to find a job that you have a lot of interest in. Find something that you are passionate about.

Today is my first day, I'm excited. First time I applied for this job, I wanted to be a para for children with disabilities, because they hold our future in their hands. But, the only job I could get is just watching over the Kindergarten before lunch and working in the library, which I love books! I hope this job last a LONG time. Oh, I'm a instructional para.

I was at a temporary job for about 7 weeks. It could have turned permanent, but no, it didn't.
