I never believed in any type of God.
I grew up in a home where Religion was mocked.

My Boyfriend landed in hospital for a drug over dose.
I was scared and wanted someone to help him.
The hospital had no time for him. They all had an attitude that he brought this upon himself. He must suffer.
I took the phone book, desperately seeking someone that can help us.
I found a doctor and asked him if he could please come to the hospital and help I don’t have money.
Within 10 minutes he was there.
He took my husband (boyfriend at the time)’s file looked through it and told me that physically the hospital has done all they can for him.
He then turned and asked if he could pray for him.
After the man had come without charging us, the lest I could do was let him do his 5 minute prayer and leave.
He sat by my husbands bedside the whole night.
When this man spoke to us, I could feel and love and peace in him that I really longed for.
He came every night to see how my husband was doing.

By the time my husband was discharged, I had a hunger for this man’s higher power.

I then married my husband which that lead to 6 years of pain.
But it brought me to my knees.
God taught me much through my suffering.
I had to let go of my will that I so longed to control, and turn to His will that I can not control.

Three years ago I finally got it.
God has a perfect plan, will and purpose with everything that happens.
He’s in control, and will let everything workout for the greater good.

I placed my husband in God’s hands and started praising God for him.
My husband would literally be pass out on the bed, and I would go down on my knees and thank God for my husband.
Thank Him that He had a plan and purpose.
Thank Him that He would let everything work out for the greater good.
And He is true to His Word and He did.

It’s been three years now since God turned my marriage around.
I have a wonder husband.
I have love, peace and joy.

And I can only thank Jesus Christ.

I believe that a relationship with God is completly personal. I don't feel that one has to worship in a church or even attend church. I would never declare a label such as Christian for the simple reason that a label like that is misrepresented by people who are hypocrites.
God has given us talents; things we are good at. I believe that worship comes in the form of expressing those talents and enjoying them. It's a chance for the creator to see his creation in action using our gifts.
To sum it up, I believe God knows how each of us relate to Him as an individual. It's not about practicing what a book tells us, going to church, or being the best we can be... it's in acknowledging our creator and expressing our gratitude through the things we put our time into.

Accidently peed on an electrified line in the backyard. My relationship with a higher power was immediate and less than rewarding.

God the Father, Jesus the son, and The Holy Spirit- My relationship with the Lord is awesome! I long to know more of His truth each day- and pray that He will guide me into all truth and give me wisdom. He fills me with peace that is not the kind of peace of this world, but an everlasting peace- a secure and joyful peace. I am saved in Jesus Christ and He has given me a new heart, and opened my eyes to His truth- I continually pray for spiritual discernment so that I can know what is of God and what is not. He teaches me through His holy word- the Bible- and keeps me on his narrow path the more time I spend with Him. He is more real than ever- and He is the ONLY God and ONLY Saviour....It is amazing to know the Lord Jesus Christ. For I love this verse He has given to us:

"Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know" Jeremiah 33:3

As a follower of Jesus the Christ, God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is MY higher power. He leads me through life down ways that are meant to keep me safe and provide for me. When I am wise enough to listen, my life is full of peace and joy. IF I get a case of the dumb*ss and choose not to listen, He gives me a signal that I need to get back on the right path. Loving Parent. God Bless.

it is within me ... a part of me
i feel we are sparks of the divine , and that to get close to God and know God ... then we have to know ourself fully
so i love myself , who i am and all i am , including my faults that make me me
and in doing so i am loving God and able to love others unconditionally
