Now that you have invited Jesus into your life, think about why. Something made you decide to invite Jesus Christ into your life as your Savior and Lord. You may have made that decision without much information to base it on – because it was a faith-decision. You just knew it was the right thing to do. Anyone who comes to Christ does so because God draws them to Himself– not strictly on the basis of logic or reason.

But you may think, "What did I do, really? What actually happened? How can I know for sure that I’m going to heaven, and that Christ now lives in me?"

The Bible is the basis for all that Christians believe. How sure we can be about our salvation?

Scriptures:

Revelation 3:20 – "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

John 5:24 – "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."

1 John 5:11-13 – "And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

Summary:

If you have "opened the door" of your life, the most honest, reliable, and powerful being ever to walk on earth promised He would come in. If He's in you, He brought with him eternal life, and exchanged it for your death. And guess how long eternal life lasts? Forever. Jesus said in Hebrews 13:5, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." This you can be sure of!

It is a term used to brainwash people into thinking horrible things will happen to them if they do not subscribe to a particular religious belief. That said, being "saved" is subscribing to those beliefs and therefore you are "saved" from horrible things happening to you after death.

I was once told by a christain that what you do in this life does not matter. It does not matter how good you are or how chartible you are unless you accept jesus. This is a horrible thing to teach children!

Being saved means you accept Jesus as your savior and God as your creator. It also means that you will stop your sinful ways and devote your life to God and spreading His good word through your words and actions. It is a wonderful feeling but comes with responsibility. You also need to go out and help save others who are in desperate need. Good luck and I hope you are saved as well!

Shalom Fembalmer,

There is only one thing to be saved from and that is yourself. Mankind dwells in the outer darkness or as portrayed in the prodigal son "far away country". He is ruled over by the God of this world which some refer to as Satan. What is Satan? A gravity upon the mind that limits mankind to his organic conscious and prohibits him from knowing his soul self.

Up into the point of when Yeshua came mankind did not observe the laws of God nor fulfilling them within themselves. Yeshua was the first and so far only to fulfill the royal law within himself and thus providing a pattern for mankind to follow. So when you are saved it means you began to walk in the footsteps of Yeshua, imitating his every move. So that you to can sit on the right hand of God just as he did. Those who call upon Yeshua with their lips and do not change their mindset nor lifestyle crucify Yeshua afresh inside their minds each day. Those Christians who say they are followers of Yeshua are only professing with their lips and use his name as a insurance policy(i.e I sin but I believe in Jesus so he will pick me up. Or they are exempt from the law) so that they can continue to drown in ignorance and thus throw away their inheritance of the kingdom.

To follow Yeshua's way, the narrow path that leads to life. You must live a consecrated life in accordance with the royal law and live the truth you have received in thought, word, desire and deed. When you unloose the mind and began your journey to the inner kingdom then you become "saved" from the ways of this world. And as he given you become "in the world but not of it".

Peace

Aza

It means you have accepted Jesus the Christ as your Savior. That is that He is God incarnate who came to earth to die in order to pay the sin debt so you may have eternal life. God's love is great and the joy and peace you will have in you heart when you let Jesus enter in is beyond description. I pray that you will find this for your life. Numbers 6:24 (Bible verse) Merry Christmas.

the wages of sin is death....eternal death
to be saved is to be saved from your sin
we used to sacrifice animals to atone for our sin (blood sacrifice)
Jesus came and His blood was the final sacrifice to rid our sin
When you accept that Jesus came as your savior from death, you are saved from the eternal death caused by sin....then the key is to repent (turn from ) that sin so you don't fall back into it.

I believe it is the same as enlightenment in the Buddhist sense. Possibly escape from karma, I don't know, I'm probably stuck on the wheel for a while.
