most have it so they can talk to their mates a lot whihc is good for friendships, it also means that people can contact them if they are worried about where they are.

there is no good reason except if they are at the mall, or movies and their parents can find them easier,,
although I grew up without them, grew up with computers,, we all managed to survive,, I also feel communcation skills were alot better back then, and we certainly could make it through High school with 4 years of math,,

Because parents today, feel they need to give their children whatever their children desire. The positive note should be safety. However, I dont believe they are used in this manner.

There is no good reason. My generation didn't have them, and we did just fine.

for emergencys maybe??? and to call cops, mates or parents they allways come in handy.
