If it has only been a week since his father passed, then it would be best if you guys could post-pone the decision for at least a semester. In 5 months he and his mother will be clearer about what the best solution should be and if leaving for the US will be feasible. They both need time to grieve and right now neither one is thinking clearly. Call the University and explain your plight....they will help you make arrangements for the near future. But for now, time to grieve is what is needed. Dreams don't die and he will still be able to accomplish his goals, it may just take a little longer than planned.

Im 28 and have bipolar disorder diagnosed when i was 17. Im okay now, i have my symptoms under control for the most part and im happily married and have my own art bussiness, but my twenties were extremely hard and i used to feel like i was going to die. I know what im talking about so dont write off what im saying. The main thing you need to realize is that You cannot control Bipolar disorder without medication that is specifically for bipolar disorder. Im talking about Mood stabilizing drugs. NOt antidepressants like paxil or zoloft prozac leaxapro etc. Mood sabilizers are drugs like lithium, depakote, lamictal, tegretol , valproic acid, nerontin, seroquel, zyprexa, the list goes on. If he gets to a good Psychiatrist he will decide what drugs to put him on based on an interview. You have to make sure that the doc that you pick deals with bipolar patients. Ask the receptionist when you call to book the appt. or do research online. The first visit will cost between 200-400 dollars. So start saving your weed money. Finding the right drug is a long process sometimes, but sometimes you luck out and find one that works right off and your life i forever changed for the better, sometimes it take lots more time and money. You literally dont have any other choice if you want to help your boyfriend. Bipolar disorder is just as deadly as cancer, it kills 2 in five people who are afflicted. Thats a lot. This will not get better on its own, Bipolar gets worse with age, its a progressive disease, but the good news is that it is completely treatable and with the right meds, you can live a normal life, but without them , you are literally risking death. You can scrape together the money for the appt and many doctors will work with you on applying for aid. There are help organizations that provide money specifically for bipolar patients. apply for as many things as you can and do research. Also, after you find a med that works, Its usually much cheaper to buy it from an online overseas pharmacy. Thats what i do. I dont have insurance either. In my experience, weed made me feel better while i was high but made my condition worse overall, but everybodys not the same. Saving the money for that first consultation will be hard but you can do it. Good luck. Pray if you pray.

Well, His father should have left his mother with a nice nest egg, So she can take care of her self. But If he tell you no he wants to stay and take care of this mother. Then you have to go finish School or you are going to end up like his mother. But he should finish School too.

Every relationship has to go through its baptism period, and this one is baptism by fire for sure, hang in there, your presence would be support enough for him and know that God has a plan for each one of us, and it is sometimes much larger than our largest dream, allow Him to unfold it for both you, individually and collectively.

All the best.
