We don't always insult you. Sometimes we just question religious arguments and laugh when people give silly answers.

"If man evolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?"

You would laugh too.

I agree with you.

I am not a 'religious person' either - and I can think for myself just fine ~ thank you *directed at one answer you got*.

I am not taking sides on this (who believes and who does not). But I do believe in God - and I also respect those who do not believe. It's their choice and their right. Like anything. But as long as everything is respectful. So much bitter evil hatred out there. Nobody really wants to learn somebody else's point of view. Isn't that the main problem in to days society?

I would like to see more monitoring by whoever runs this site to keep people on topic and respectful. That would mean deleting answer after answer of disrespect and out right insults. Also deleting account by underaged kids.

I can only buy into the "freedom of expression" line for so long. The topic title of these threads are "religion",...If you have no religion,..then you have to ask why do you come here and post the things you do.

I have no love for math, and I am not a very good cook,..so guess what? I tend to stay away from those topics. Why would I show up and heckle a bunch of math folks " the multiplcation table is FALSE!!!"???

I assure you, if they had a fourm for non-believers, a place you could heckle and make jokes about religion,...It would not interest me, It runs counter to my beliefs, therefore much like math and cooking? I'd ignore it,...why? Nothing there that would interest me.

I believe in the concept of the rational man,....so you have to ask yourself,..why exactly DO folks that profess not to believe in God come to a thread where he knows has people who do,...and leave the posts that they do? It has nothing to do with freedom, nor "rights",..its just a way to annoy and remain safe. Its a way to be cruel and be validated by others of the same ilk.

It makes no sense to me,..but then,...it may only be me.

Peace to you and yours. Merry Christmas.

I don't believe it's about insulting people that believe in God.

I believe in God, just not the same way others do. Yet since I logged on and joined this morning I have been told I am going to hell at least 3 times.

Depends what you mean by insulting. I believe in the God and the Goddess and get told I should be burned and that I worship the devil. I find that quite insulting as I don't believe in the devil. I respect others' beliefs but they don't respect mine.
I think religion is such a divisor in society that some people feel the need to insult others to make themselves feel better about what they believe, in terms of 'you're wrong and [insert insult here]'.
Also, many are trying to convert 'the heathens' by 'showing' them how wrong they are and why.

Often, people feel that they, too, have been insulted by posts from believers. It would be best if everyone took this advice but they don't. From what I have seen, most of the insults are reactions to the poster feeling insulted based on their beliefs.

I'm all for respect and insulting people is just a waste to space. HOWEVER, it doesn't do to be too thin-skinned or to take oneself too seriously. Some of those answers are so funny and irreverent that I simply can't help but have a giggle. Just tell yourself that "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names can never hurt me" and keep waving the flag, sister! Don't let them grind you down!

It would nice if people who do not believe in God would stop insulting beleivers. It would be equally nice if people who believe in God would stop insulting people who do not. I see the application of good manner as applicable to everyone. Have a great day!

Yes true, but we can't all have the same views, and a challenge is good for us all, some of these people are only doing this so they can learn, because if they really had no interest they would not come on here

I agree with this and don't pressure the non believers and Pagans into what you believe. I know alot of people saying to me I need to pressure people to come to Christ and that pressuring hurt a few people around me.

I have also seen a post that they respect God Believers and sorry they don't think for themselves. I know a few people that don't think for themselves and they rely on thier preachers to tell them. I on the other hand are opened minded with some stuff. I am a strong believer of Jesus Christ and the Bible and I attend a Fundlementlist Baptist Church. The church is just for my fellowshipping with other believers and a tool for my Christian living. The Bible Any version is my tool for my Christian living and so on.
Those that spend all day saying you can do that you can read that version of the Bible, You can't drink wine it will ruien your testimony and so on they have a sad life and don't understand why we are on earth for. Christ Died for all of us not juse one praticilar Denomination and Bible version. This is why when My husband and I get our own place we will to some Changes.
Well, Merry Christmas

First most people do not think "TRUTH' is good and second I like to reflect to all those who are 'believers' that 'believing' in 'believing' is a sickness. Have you ever heard of Existentalism? ...experience supercedes beliefs.
Belief is simply a result of 'brain washing'.
Jesus said the "wages of sin is death". This is why are people who believe in God DIE!
The "TRUTH" will set you FREE even from Death.
